KBB Names 2016 Nissan Pathfinder One of the Best Family Cars

The Nissan Pathfinder was recently named one of Kelley Blue Book’s Best Family Cars for the third time. The annual evaluation named 16 vehicles in 2016 that best meet the needs of today’s modern families. Editors at KBB appreciated the Pathfinder’s handy features such as the Around View Monitor and EZ Flex Seating System.

For 2016, the Nissan Pathfinder gains a few additional options, including a revised Almond interior with contrasting black and beige materials and a new Cold weather package for Pathfinder SV models which adds heated cloth front seats, a heated steering wheel and heated outside rearview mirrors.

If you are looking for an extremely versatile family vehicle, the Pathfinder is the perfect choice with its seating for up to seven passengers. The available All-Mode 4×4-i four-wheel drive system with selectable 2WD, Auto and 4WD Lock modes provides drivers improved traction in any type of weather.

A 260 hp 3.5-liter V6 engine comes standard and is mated to an advanced Xtronic transmission with D-Step shift logic. With its advanced powertrain, the Pathfinder has a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds when properly equipped, and provides great fuel economy at up to 27 mpg highway for 2WD models.

The EZ Flex Seating System with Latch and Glide allows the second row to tilt and glide forward, providing easy access to the third row, even if a child safety seat is installed. The Pathfinder also comes equipped with the Nissan Advanced Drive-Assist Display and 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.

Available premium features include an 8-inch touch-screen monitor with Nissan Navigation, 13-speaker Bose Audio System, a Family Entertainment Package with dual headrest displays, Tri-Zone Automatic Climate Control and a Dual Panorama Moonroof. Safety features like Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are optional.
